What is included in my moving estimate? Your moving estimate includes expert advice and guidance, professional service, disassembly and reassembly of standard furniture, wrapping of furniture with quilted blankets, itemized inventory, loading and unloading of goods, transportation costs, standard cargo protection up to $10,000, and no charges for packing tape and moving pads. Additional services or items may incur extra fees.
Can the price of my move change after the estimate? Yes, the price can change based on the actual dimensions or cubic feet of your belongings if additional items are added or if additional services are required that were not included in the initial estimate.
What are “bulky items” and are there additional charges for them? Bulky items are non-stackable items that take up more space. Examples include large furniture or appliances. Additional charges for bulky items are determined by the mover at the time of pickup.
What professional packing services are included? Professional packing services are not included in the standard agreement. However, movers may determine that certain items require professional packing, such as televisions, mirrors, and glass tabletops, which will incur additional charges.
Are there any charges for stairs or long carries? Yes, there is a charge of $75 for each additional flight of stairs beyond the first flight at both the origin and destination. A flight of stairs is 12 steps. Long carry charges start at $150 if the moving truck cannot park within 75 feet of your home.
What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations must be made within 72 hours of signing the Bill of Lading to receive a full refund, minus a 10% administrative fee. Cancellations made within 5 days of the first available pickup date will result in a forfeiture of the deposit.
How do I prepare for my move? To prepare, declutter your home, pack non-essential items early, label boxes, and create an inventory list. Ensure all drawers are emptied and furniture is ready for transport.
What if I need to reschedule my move? You can reschedule without penalty if you notify us at least 5 days before the first available pickup date. Changes made after this period may incur additional fees.
What if there are items that cannot be moved? For safety reasons, certain items cannot be transported. These prohibited items include:

What is a Certificate of Insurance, and do I need one? A Certificate of Insurance may be required by your building management. It confirms that the mover has adequate insurance coverage. Please notify us if this is needed for your move.
What if there are parking restrictions at my location? Ensure parking is available for the moving truck at both locations. If the truck cannot park close enough, long carry or shuttle service charges may apply.
What are the terms for elevator usage? There are no additional charges for elevator usage. However, if an elevator is not available and stairs are used, additional charges may apply as outlined in our terms.
How can I track my shipment? You can track your shipment by contacting our customer service team. We will provide updates on the status and estimated arrival time of your belongings.
What should I do if my items are damaged or missing? Contact our customer service team immediately to file a claim. We will assist you in resolving the issue with the carrier.
How can I save money on my move? Declutter before moving, pack your own boxes, and schedule your move during off-peak times. Avoid additional services and fees by preparing your items and ensuring easy access for the movers.
What are some best practices for a smooth move? Plan ahead, label all boxes clearly, keep essential items handy, and communicate any special requirements to your moving team.
